Bank of Istanbul – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Bank of Istanbul (“the Bank,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) and any individual or entity (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) using our banking products and services.
1. Account Opening & Eligibility
Clients must provide accurate, complete, and verifiable information during account registration. The Bank reserves the right to approve or decline any application in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies.
2. Deposits & Payments
All deposits are subject to verification and applicable banking regulations. Funds may be held for processing, compliance review, or security purposes. The Bank is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions.
3. Investment & Wealth Products
Investment products, including the Deposit Pension Scheme and Wealth Plan, are subject to market risks. Returns are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in a written agreement. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
4. Fees & Charges
Clients agree to pay applicable service fees, transaction charges, administrative costs, and other charges as outlined in the Bank’s official fee schedule. Fees may be updated with prior notice.
5. Digital Banking Services
Use of online and mobile banking services requires secure login credentials. Clients are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of passwords, PINs, and authentication methods. The Bank is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to client negligence.
6. Compliance & Regulatory Obligations
The Bank operates in accordance with applicable financial laws, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and international compliance standards. Clients agree to cooperate with any lawful request for information.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
Client information is collected, stored, and processed in line with our Privacy Policy. We implement encryption and cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Bank shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service interruptions, system failures, or external events beyond our reasonable control.
9. Amendments
The Bank reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on official communication channels and will become effective upon publication.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the applicable financial and banking laws of the jurisdiction in which Bank of Istanbul operates.
